About Colorado State Methamphetamine Task Force

The State Methamphetamine Task Force exists to provide leadership in the development of a statewide strategy to assist local communities with the implementation of effective practices to respond to illegal drug production, distribution, and use, as well as increase the identification and well-being of drug endangered children. The Colorado General Assembly established the State Methamphetamine Task Force as a diverse partnership of state government, local governments, and the private sectors with a mandate to:     assist local communities with implementation of the most effective practices to respond to illegal methamphetamine production, distribution, and use; develop statewide strategies in collaboration with local communities to address prevention, intervention, treatment and enforcement; and take a comprehensive approach to and provide assistance and recommendations concerning system-wide responses to the substance abuse issues in Colorado.
