About Prowers Prevention Partners (P3)

P3 - Prowers Prevention Partners is a community based coalition that provides ATOD (alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs) prevention services to youth and the community in which they live.  P3 serves Prowers County including Lamar, Holly and Granada.

Our goals include: reduce underage drinking and substance abuse; educate the community on the risks and consequences of underage drinking and substance abuse; and maintain our coalition to continue addressing the prevention needs of the community.  

 

 Goals and Strategies
 
 
  • Address easy retail access of alcohol among underage youth through implementation of a responsible beverage server program, increased enforcement, and facilitation and support of other environmental changes.
  • Address the low perception of risk and the social acceptance of underage alcohol use held by adults and youth through community education and social marketing.
  • Address underage alcohol use through sponsorship of evidenced based ATOD prevention curricula in our participating county schools.
  • Provide cost-free opportunities for positive experiences and an outlet for youth to express their interests through ATOD-free activities that promote positive youth engagement and development.
