About Pueblo Alliance for Healthy Teans

A diverse community collaboration to positively impact our youth and families with compassion, education and hope.

The Pueblo Coalition to prevent underage drinking and drugging and the Pueblo Alliance for Healthy Teens - PAHT is addressing high-risk drinking and drugging through a community collaborative.  We are focusing on changing the conditions that allow and promote high-risk drinking.

The Pueblo Coalition to Prevent Underage Drinking and Drugging began meeting monthly in September 2004.  Currently over 100 members strong Pueblo Alliance for Healthy Teens (PAHT) has a webpage.

Our goals include prevention education in the Pueblo City Schools with Project Northland, School Health and Safety Teams, Social Marketing of the Pueblo Coalition and the Pueblo Alliance for Healthy Teens (PAHT), and implementing Columbia University TEEN SCREEN in school based Wellness Centers.

Our highlights include 2 successful TEEN MAZE events, giving away 2 cars, mountain bikes, and many other valuable prizes - making this an annual community event with the next TEEN MAZE scheduled for April 25th.  Pueblo hosts many free Alternative Activites for youth and their families.

We received national attention for our Night Court with Judge Alexander and Deputy Chief Andy McLachlin providing a 'fast track' for minor in possession violators.
