About Ute Mountain Prevention Team

Building community support for prevention initiatives - The Ute Mountain Prevention Team is making a difference in our tribal community day by day.

The Prevention Team is a coalition of organizations and individuals which was founded in March 2007. The coalition was developed through the Colorado Prevention Partners.

This site provides people access to indicator and resource data that our coalition is focused on related to underage drinking as well as access to collaboration tools to help us complete our work.

About Us

The Ute Mountain Prevention Team is funded through the Colorado Department of Behavioral Health and our goal for the future is to decrease underage drinking in our community. We also want to provide the youth of our Reservation with ideas, support, and activities to promote healthy behaviors. We are located in the southwest corner of Colorado (Towaoc) and the southeast corner of Utah (White Mesa). Our tribal population is 2093 members.
